Due to Twitter’s declining relevance following the platform’s takeover by a megalomaniac and the uncertainty of its long-term future I decided to set up an alternative platform with Mastodon.

Whereas there is considerable overlap between my campaign work and my desire to highlight the criminality of the UK’s current governing regime on Twitter, those who follow my campaign but are less interested in the important constitutional crisis happening right now in the UK can rest assured there is less overlap and more concentration on campaign issues on Mastodon – for now.

I will not be scared off from Twitter and as far as I’m concerned it is business as usual on the platform that has been my ‘home’ in recent years – I don’t give in to bullies and especially not those that try to encroach on my territory – however I respect that many people felt no choice other than leave the platform. I hope that Mastodon will prove an acceptable alternative and ask people to support me on Mastodon as many have on Twitter by following @ChristieElanCane@mstdn.social.
